Construction System

An old prototype and the starting for designing the construction system. Inspired by Townscaper I started looking at various ways of making use of the same technique. Before getting into some of the more technical aspect like wave-function collapse and marching cubes I just started to outline the objectives. Unlike Townscaper I wanted this to be a full-fledged city builder with the ability to be sieged, for that to happen there needed to be a lot more complexity for the city building.

What I started with here is the ability to select a material you were building with, this would mirror the ability to pick a color in Townscaper, but would have more practical applications like being tougher or having more beauty.

In addition, you would need to pick what object you were placing, which would later be separated into categories.
