Enchanters
I have always loved the mixing of fantasy and different periods. Valkyria Chronicles was one of the first experiences which doubled this idea. Although it is almost entirely a World War tale from the onset it is subtly fantastical, with its Ragnite-powered vehicles, and in each chapter, the fantasy grows.
The problem with many fantasy properties is that they are not design for video games, especially not at grand scales. Games modded to take on any number of fantasy properties often have to design extremely complex systems to get around these pitfalls. World of Warcraft, and Lord of Rings for Crusader Kings both had big issues with intermixing races. "If a Dwarf and Elf have a baby, does it become a Human?"
Currently, on this website you will find the various systems and designs I am using to realize my vision of a fantasy world. In Enchanters, the living creatures are spread across multiple dimensions but mostly live on Earth adjacent worlds. So for the start of my adventure, I researched the best way to collect cost-effective satellite data. Using those images I seeded a Marching Cubes system to allow terraformable terrain, and even collected some erosion math to add detail where it was lacking.
